There is increasing concern about the diminishing size and distribution of pollinator populations in Wales, but an apparent disconnect that fails to link the declining pollinator populations with diminishing areas of flower-rich habitats, such as the arable plant habitats associated with untreated arable fields. This is one of the few habitats in Wales where you can hear the pollinators before you enter the field, species-rich hay meadows are another example.
